enpact startup camp 2017: epNetwork members tell their stories
A few weeks ago they’ve met in Bad Belzig in Germany for a 5-day mentoring event with one-on-one metor/fellow sessions, expert workshops and more. enpact interviewed both founders about their stories, motivation and visions for the future.
Dr. Omotayo Dairo spoke about his plans to transform the Nigerian agricultural landscape through renewable energy and long-term solutions to food wastage, hunger and poverty. “I wanted to provide farmers with a solution to process their food, using the resulting biomass waste to generate sustainable energy, and in turn address UN Sustainable Development Goals, such as ending poverty and hunger”, he said. “I had a hobby that was creating a solution! I suddenly became excited about retirement because I had a new challenge: renewable energy”. Read the interview here.

With Harvey (Larry) Nkeng they discussed his love of technology and his goals to make it more accessible to people in his community in Cameroon and beyond.”My motivation through all of my work has been to develop technology that is accessible for people who may not know how to use it […] I know that even if I fail, I will not have lost everything, but rather I will have learned how to make my next project more successful. My goal is to build a better version of myself in order to create better technology for now and the future”. The interview is available here.
