empowering people Expert primes the pump

Brian Finnerty, empowering people. Expert, spent four months with the Alternative Indigenous Development Foundation (AIDFI) in the Philippines, where he volunteered his skills to develop an IT-based administration system. This will boost the technology of the innovative low-tech Ram Pump, which is used for irrigation or to supply drinking water. The pump is powered by hydraulic energy and has very low operating costs. Brian’s mission is part of the Siemens Stiftung’s “empowering people. Expert Service”, which helps members of the “empowering people. Network” to overcome obstacles which hinder product development or prevent solutions from reaching people with basic needs.
